I propose that we once and for all remove a major administrative obstacle for foreigners who are already in the Republic of Slovenia and who are not sent to the other side of the world (America, Japan, Russia, etc.) to collect their permits at the embassy or to be fingerprinted for the purpose of issuing them, so that they can collect their permits at the embassy while they are already legally in Slovenia. This is really first-class bureaucratic nonsense and nothing else, and it must be abolished immediately. The Aliens Act must provide for the possibility of serving the permit on aliens already in the country by an authority in Slovenia (the Administrative Unit), and not only through diplomatic consular missions. This inflexibility of the law causes considerable administrative and financial costs for foreigners, but also for domestic companies, which causes direct economic damage to society as a whole and shames our country.
