Sir, I propose to amend Section 30 of the Road Transport Act to remove the need for a revocation notice in the Official Gazette in the event of loss, theft or destruction of a licence. The matter is too time-consuming, costly and administratively burdensome. The system could be set up in such a way that you report to the licensor that your licence has been lost, stolen or destroyed and, if necessary, the licensor publishes the numbers of these licences on the Internet, without any cancellations in the Official Journal, where the question is who is following these cancellations or getting this information from the Official Journal. In the past, school certificates have been revoked in the same way, as have identity cards and passports, and I do not see any added value.
