I propose an administrative simplification for the charging of commuting costs for civil servants, in the direction of switching to charging a certain amount of mileage for all, which would be agreed with the social partners. This would eliminate a large number of hours spent by civil servants on administrative tasks such as calculating the cheapest transport, mileage, combinations of the two, etc. It would also relieve civil servants who have to make new declarations, etc., every time there is a change in public transport fares. In short, I propose that we move to the same mileage rate for all civil servants, with the aim of not increasing the mass of commuting payments and relieving civil servants of administrative burdens.
