Dear Sir or Madam. I propose to cut red tape for parents at the birth of a child. Following the example of the Ljubljana Maternity Hospital, I propose that a certain number of employees of administrative units should be placed or have a workplace created for them in maternity hospitals, where parents would be able to arrange the necessary documentation for their newborns more quickly together with an administrative employee on site. I propose a phased approach, with the first phase being to place administrative staff from existing administrative units in 5 maternity hospitals with at least 3 births per day. These maternity hospitals are Kranj, Celje, Novo mesto, Maribor and Postojna. In a second phase, administrative staff would be deployed from the existing administrative units to a further 5 maternity hospitals with at least two births per day. These maternity hospitals are Nova Gorica, Slovenj Gradec, Izola, Murska Sobota and Ptuj. I also propose that, as part of this procedure, when the birth is entered in the birth register, the administrative unit automatically sends an application for a tax number to FURS and an application for a health insurance card to ZZZS for the newborn child. Greetings.
