Some time ago, Slovenian farmers were confronted with the announcement of a flat-rate compensation for the previous year. The law stipulates that as of this year, the return for the flat-rate allowance is to be made only via eTax. All well and good, but most farmers had to go to the Chamber of Agroforestry to submit these returns. I still think that there is not a computer in every house in Slovenia, that not everyone is able to do business by e-mail, and that there should still be the option of submitting returns by traditional mail for those who cannot do otherwise, or that DURS should be given a new job to deal with such problems. Taxpayers who are not able to deal with such matters themselves via e-tax have had to authorise someone, so they have lost time, then deliver the authorisation to DURS, back to the authorised person who submitted the lump sum refund via e-tax. Well, then, let's say we did something with the computers. You wait two or three days for a receipt for taxes and contributions, etc. And I do not mean to criticise the workers who work at the DURS, they would be happy to look at the system at a moment's notice, to make a print positive or negative, but unfortunately the programmes are so complicated that this is not possible. Let us simplify some things a little, rather than reducing the number of civil servants and making their jobs more difficult.
