As a recipient of child benefit, rent subsidy, cash social assistance, etc., you have to report certain changes to the CSD on the basis of Article 42 of the Child Benefit Act, including that you have to report a change in the child's educational institution (e.g. moving from kindergarten to school), even though this has no impact on the family's income and thus on the amount of the child benefit, cash social assistance or similar. This may be understandable in cases where a child goes from secondary school to university, where he or she has a scholarship or even gets a job (he or she then has his or her own benefits and the parents are not entitled to, for example, child benefit), but it is completely illogical that parents should also have to notify the CSD of a child's change from kindergarten to school, since primary school is compulsory anyway, and it is clear that he or she must attend school up to Grade 9. I propose abolishing the reporting of information that can be obtained by the authority itself and does not require the applicant to do so.
