At the end of May, we sent our application for a work permit for foreigners to the Employment Service. As we do not deal with this kind of work very often, we expected the Employment Service to inform us about any deficiencies in the application. We only received their request for completion at the end of July, and that only after our intervention (phone calls), not to mention the one-month deadline for completing the case after our completion. The total reaction time is 3 months, despite the fact that the Institute has to comply with the CPL. Not to mention the unavailability of the clerks who deal with the applications and the unresponsiveness to the phone during office hours. The lines are overloaded and if we get general information, the clerk refers us to the clerk dealing with the application. We suggest that the deadlines for the resolution of applications for work permits be finally defined and set, and that they be completed within a reasonable time (1 month).
