Hello. More than a week ago, we submitted an application for a single work and residence permit for a foreigner, a citizen of the Republic of Macedonia, to UE Maribor. The Office for Foreigners of the UE Maribor reviewed all the (very extensive) documentation received and, as the procedures dictate, and despite the confirmation of the Employment Service, Labour Office Maribor that there are no suitable jobseekers in the Slovenian records, sent a request for consent to the ZRSZ, Service for Employment and Labour of Foreigners, Ljubljana. They explained to me that they could not continue the procedure until they had received the consent of the above-mentioned ZRSZ Service and that the procedure could take up to 5 months, which seems to me to be an absolutely too long time limit, which is not in line with the ZUP. I have been trying to reach the staff of the Employment and Labour Office for 2 days (1.5 hours on Monday, where I moved from 20th to 13th place in the queue) and 1.5 hours today (from 13.10 to 14.35), where I am currently second (2nd) in the queue. I suggest that: - introduce more customer service lines at the ZRSZ, as this kind of waiting is unacceptable; - simplify the consent procedures or shorten the single permit procedure; - the application form for the issue/renewal of a single permit could be in an editable format (word, pdf with input fields), as filling in pdf forms by hand is very time-consuming, not to mention that it can quickly lead to problems with reading or misinterpreting handwritten information.
