Hello. I am proposing an amendment to the Arms Act. The information on permanent residence is contained in the weapons certificate. Since the Weapons Certificate proves (with a picture) the right of the person NN with a photo to carry and/or possess a weapon, the address of the permanent residence has nothing to do with it. If a person changes his/her permanent residence and obtains a new identity card or travel document, there is no need to unnecessarily burden the official authorities by changing this address in the Armoury Passport. Any official can obtain information about the holder of a weapon certificate (a person with a picture) on the basis of a verbal interview and the EMN and by consulting the CRP data. In the Defence Act we unnecessarily require a citizen to change this information within 8 days of a change of residence, which has no place in the weapon certificate per se. This would also relieve some of the officials who could be doing something else in the meantime.
