When your documents are stolen and you report it to the police station, you usually do not get a police report, but this is required for the issue of a new driving licence as proof of due diligence to ensure that you do not have a double charge, or is it not sufficient to make a statement on the report that you are criminally and materially liable for the theft and that you have kept the document carefully, but if the clerk doubts this, he should ask the PP.
