Dear Sir or Madam. In the course of our review of the legislation in force, we have also come across the Law on Dual Marking of Prices in Tolars and Euros (ZDOCTE), which in Article 5 sets out the duration of the dual marking period. The quoted Article thus defines that the period starts on 2.1.2007 and ends on 2.7.2007. Article 7, paragraph 2, vaguely stipulates that the method of implementation of the dual price marking shall continue to apply after the introduction of the euro. In practice, questions arise as to whether the prices of goods and services (both on price lists and in promotional materials, price lists, etc.) should still be marked in SIT. In our view, the reason for double marking is no longer relevant as almost 10 years have passed since the introduction of the euro and the calculations are no longer relevant for consumers. We would like to ask for your further opinion or comment on the above law, which might otherwise expire. We look forward to your reply.
