Dear Sir or Madam! We have checked the publications in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia and we note that in certain places it will be additionally possible to pass the driving test for categories A2 and A. We note that the Carinthia region, with the seat of the Test Centre in Slovenj Gradec, is disadvantaged and is not treated on an equal footing with some other places that have been given certain categories back. We are of the opinion that the practical part of the test is a test of the prescribed elements of driving, regardless of the location of the test ground. In Carinthia we face major problems with the practical part of the test, because the test is in Velenje, about 50 km away from the driving school headquarters. We have to drive the candidates to Velenje, load the engine on the trailer and, after the test, we have to load the engine on the trailer again and return to the driving school's place of business in this way. This way of organising the test brings us additional costs in terms of organising the transport of the motorcycles back to the place of business and time losses for both the candidates and the driving instructors - We propose that a decision be taken, at least temporarily, to allow the candidate to drive the motorcycle at least as far as the first garage after the test. We note that a thorough analysis of the effects of the changes was not carried out in the preparation of the amendments, so we kindly ask you to reconsider this and to return the possibility of passing the A2 and A category tests back to Koroška - Test Centre Slovenj Gradec. Sincerely!
