During the construction of the Gonzaga Business Centre, we encountered a trivial problem that delayed construction for six months. We wanted to divide our own plot into several plots. We also had to put boundaries on a plot boundary that has several owners living all over the world. This is where the problems started. Since our parcelling had no impact on their parcel, all the owners had to be invited by the GURS to the parcelling. As they did not pick up the mail and there were no returns, they had to send out enquiries. A long and unnecessary procedure, because by parcelling one's own plot there is no impact on the neighbour. COMMENT from the Ministry of Public Administration: In response to our request, the entrepreneur has provided us with the following further information:- he is almost certain that the boundaries were regularised before the parcelling was carried out,- he suggests that all provisions requiring the presence of neighbours when parcelling one's own land be deleted from the law.
