You can apply for a vacancy on-line.  However, you could do the same for other programmes - for example the On-the-Job Training or the Youth Work Test. As an employer, I have to submit a paper application to the Job Centre, then the Job Centre sends me an e-mail with the contract (great!), I print it out and bring it to the Job Centre in physical form and that's how all the communication goes. While the Job Centre communicates with me electronically, which is a great development, I would be happy to do the reverse - for me as an employer to be able to communicate with the Job Centre electronically. Every month we have to submit reports in physical form, we have to bring all the offers, all the contracts in physical form when it could be electronic.
