Since Slovenia has a disastrous banking system, we submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Finance months ago to reinstate the system that would allow bank account holders to transfer their bank accounts to another bank. So the same system that we have at the level of telecom operators, where we freely transfer the number around.  This would greatly intensify competition and would have exclusively positive effects on natural persons as well as legal persons. It is very difficult for a company to close an account and open a new one, especially nowadays, when a lot of payments are electronic and linked to account numbers, which are very time-consuming and expensive to change when changing banks.  Technically, it is a very simple IT routing problem. We would need an input database of all the accounts at bank level and then, as with the telecom operators, we would just assign administrators.
