Hello. I have received a summons from the FURS to file a tax return on gains from the disposal of securities... I did not file the return as it was a disposal of shares acquired with "certificates" during the first ownership immediately after Slovenia's independence. FURS confirmed that in this case I did not need to file the return, but that I had to provide a certificate stating that the shares were acquired with "certificates". I should seek this certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. I have been given a telephone number and no-one is answering. So I can go there and hope that I find the right person. This kind of procedure makes no sense to me, and I do not know why the burden of proof is on me while I am proving with the help of data held by one of the ministries. In my opinion, on the basis of my above argument, FURS should be able to quickly consult or obtain the data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development within the JU system, and not that I have to go to the headquarters of the ministries, etc., to do this kind of thing myself. If my claims turn out to be untrue, of course, the process of obtaining the Forecast can go on as normal, penalties can be charged, etc.
