Dear Sir or Madam. As of 1 January 2015, the State has removed "local management" from the list of complementary personal activities. This activity will be definitively withdrawn as of 30.6.2015. This puts guides who do not receive sufficient income to open a sole proprietorship in an awkward position. At the moment, we do not have an adequate answer as to how we will pay local guides who do not have a sole proprietorship, nor are they students, after this date. Will we have to write a sub-contract for each guide separately? Not only does this lose the simplicity of the process of hiring a guide, but it also makes the guide's work significantly more expensive. After all, the taxation under a sub-contract is considerably higher than it was under a personal supplementary job. If one of our country's priorities is the development of tourism, then taking local guiding out of the self-employed sector is a step backwards. Therefore, on behalf of the travel agencies and local guides who have registered tourist guiding as a personal supplementary activity, I am proposing that local tourist guiding be returned to the list of personal supplementary activities, thereby relieving the burden on Slovenian tourism.
