Ordering a prescription - (procedure in Koper Health Centre)We order a prescription for unfortunately needed medicines by phone and the health staff tells us when it will be ready. The problem arises when we go to "pick up" the prescription and have to wait outside the surgery for our turn or for a nurse to call/accept us.... This unnecessarily creates queues, which we all know is a pressing problem in healthcare.Suggestion: prescriptions could be ready and waiting for us at a specific point without the need for a queue. This would relieve the burden on health staff and queues. As an example, today I was waiting for about 10-15 minutes for my prescription to be picked up at the health centre, and it took me a mere 10 seconds to get my prescription picked up ! That is to say, 10 minutes totally unproductive and thus an increase in the queue.Perhaps it would be possible for the health centre to electronically notify the pharmacy that such and such insured person can come to collect the medication so that it would no longer be necessary to go to the health centre to collect the prescription ! All in favour of queues.
