According to the data of the Legislative Supervisor, on 31.12.1991 Slovenia had 356 laws and 1004 by-laws, while today the number of laws has increased to 797 and 18,233 by-laws. From these figures it can be concluded that Slovenia is an over-regulated and repressive country, and that action is needed at a systemic level. Individual initiatives on the Stop Red Tape portal are certainly not enough.
