Proposal to remove an administrative barrierI am a parent of two school-age children. One child attends primary school and the other secondary school. I have applied to the Social Work Centre for child benefit for both children, as well as for a mid-day meal subsidy for both children and a lunch subsidy and a transport subsidy for one child. I have applied for all these entitlements in one application and in one place, which is commendable and a significant improvement on the past. A few words on possible administrative barriers to be removed. Why is it not possible to apply electronically? What seems to me to be a much bigger administrative obstacle, both for the staff at the centres and for us citizens, are the decisions that are issued.I have received four decisions for the rights I have applied for (with one application). For each right separately, and each decision was three pages long. Of course, each decision arrived at my home in its own registered envelope. How much time, paper and printing is going to waste here? I could have received one decision (for all the rights applied for) by e-mail and I would not have had to go to the post office, because of course we were not at home when the postman arrived.I therefore suggest that we streamline the issuing of decisions on social rights and move immediately to electronic application and electronic receipt of the decision issued.
