I have a few acres of forest land for which I have to pay a forestry road improvement levy of a few cents more than one euro. For this I get one huge piece of paper with a registered letter which I have to receive in person, sign twice (on the return receipt and in the post book) and, of course, if the postman does not reach me at home, I have to go to a post office a few kilometres away to look for it. One heap of work and expense for me, on top of the DURS's work in preparing and sending the decision. The cost to DURS is, of course, more than I pay. I therefore propose that a minimum amount be set for which DURS sends out decisions. By way of comparison, the informative income tax calculations, which contain significantly higher amounts, are sent by DURS by ordinary post, by the postman dropping them in the letterbox. I would also suggest that DURS also issues an information calculation to those of us who do not have an annual income of just over €3 000 (e.g. we have an income of €2 500). Now, if we want to get a refund of the income tax we have paid, we have to make a special request to DURS - we have to provide information on our income, even though DURS has all the information with it.
