The Inheritance and Gift Tax Act (GSTA) makes it impossible for me to go to the DURS with a contract of sale. They assess the tax, then I have to find a bank or post office to pay it, and then back to Durs to get a stamp. I think that the tax offices should have an emergency cash desk so that they can deal with this sort of thing on the spot.
