Dear Sir or Madam!I have noticed that from 1 July, natural persons are also required to report the rental of real estate on your portal Prostor.Since it has been mentioned in the media that "Data for second-hand non-real estate is still sent by the tax administration, and for new buildings by the sellers or lessors, for all transactions concluded after 1 July, the tax administration will still send the data for all transactions concluded after 1 July. I would like to know whether you also obtain the data for existing rentals of second-hand properties from DURS, as this year (for the first time) we had to report in detail the amounts, the tenants and the individual properties from which we derived income when we filed our income tax returns for rental income. Given that the purpose of capturing this data at the GURS is 'to obtain information on sales prices and rents for the purpose of carrying out the mass valuation exercise', the data reported to the DURS should have been sufficient. Reporting this data twice would be an unnecessary administrative burden. The Regulation on the acquisition and transfer of data between public administration bodies for the purposes of administrative proceedings (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 38/2002) obliges the bodies to obtain data on facts from official records necessary for decision-making in administrative and other public law matters from the body conducting the proceedings.
