1. Vignette Why is it not possible to transfer a vignette from one car to another? And why does someone who buys a vignette in June have to pay for a year-long vignette, even though they will only be driving for seven months?I had a vignette on my old car that is valid until the end of 2013. I was told by the dealers that the vignette could not be transferred (because I did not believe them, I called the AMZS, who confirmed this) to the new car and that I had to buy a new one, which was of course annual (there are no half-yearly ones anymore), even though it is in fact only valid until the end of January 2014. Even though the buyer of the old car (the seller of the new car) does not want to have a vignette on the old car and would be happy to transfer it to my car, he cannot do so. Lesson: This country says it cares little for the environment. We would rather destroy and produce new than recycle and use common sense.
3. Tolls
Why is it not possible to do the offsetting immediately?Of course I paid the toll when I registered the new car. As the old car was registered in October, part of the toll was due back to me. Great, I thought, and suggested that we offset the debts and I pay the difference. Of course, that's not going to work, the state wants me to pay the toll immediately and they will refund me in three weeks' time.
