Hello, On 1 June 2013, the Health Insurance Fund (ZZZS) officially published a notice on its website - Change in the regulation of insurance for family members. As an employer, I have not been officially notified! Explanation of ZZZS (published on the website of ZZZS) - Change in the regulation of insurance of family members On 1 June 2013, amendments and additions to the Rules of compulsory health insurance will apply, which stipulate that the person obliged to register a family member for compulsory health insurance is the insurance carrier, i.e. the insured person under whom the family members will be insured (e.g. For family members who are already insured on 1 June 2013, as from 1 June 2013, the person liable to register them is the insurance institution under which they are insured. On this basis, employers, the Employment Service, social work centres, administrative units and others are no longer obliged to submit declarations and opt-outs from 1 June 2013 onwards. For declarations of family members submitted or to be submitted by 31 May 2013, obliged persons are not obliged to submit opt-outs from the insurance. First registration for insurance The first registration for insurance shall be submitted by the insurance carrier under which the family member (child, spouse, cohabiting partner, parent) is to be insured to the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (hereinafter referred to as the ZZZS) within 8 days of the conditions for insurance arising. An exception applies to newborn children. The registration of a child for compulsory insurance as a family member is submitted by the insurance carrier (father or mother) no later than 60 days after the birth of the child. Until then, the child can claim health services under the compulsory insurance of one of the parents, provided that the parent is included in the compulsory insurance as the insurance carrier. The application must be submitted on the M-C form, which will be published on the website of the Health Insurance Fund. If the insurance carrier arranges the insurance directly at the registration and check-out service of the Health Insurance Fund, he/she does not need to submit the form. Ex officio arrangement of the family member's insurance After the first registration of the family member in the compulsory insurance, ZZZS ex officio arranges his/her compulsory insurance through the insurance carrier for as long as the conditions for compulsory insurance on the part of the insurance carrier and his/her family member are fulfilled on the basis of the data kept by ZZZS on the family member and his/her insurance carrier, or are obtained by exchanging data from the operators of the official records - more on this. I am sure that the MoEYS keeps all data on all pupils, pupils and students. Please arrange for the data to be sent to the ZZZS automatically! Otherwise, I cannot imagine what the queue at the ZZZS will be like!
