We are contacting you again about the "infamous" DMV. It is commendable that it has at least been reduced (although it should have been abolished), thanks to your efforts. However, and unfortunately, I must inform you of anomalies concerning the collection and charging of this tax by the FURS itself. Namely, the inexplicably slow assessment by the FURS. We have 8 cars in the process right now and we are waiting for the third week for the clerk to calculate the DMV, which is approximately just over EUR 10 100! We don't understand why there is such a delay, because FURS has an online DMV calculator and you can calculate the amount in about 20 seconds, if you are very slow at typing.... According to information from some clerks, there are unwritten instructions from the superiors at FURS that all DMV applications are processed deliberately slow and "complicated"... We probably do not need to stress the absurdity of the situation and the damage that is being done to us, both on a personal level and also on a national level, because we are not the only ones who are faced with such absurd problems. The FURS officials clearly do not understand something, or are deliberately continuing to make it impossible and difficult to trade in vehicles! It is incomprehensible to us that we have to pay just over EUR 10 100 in tax, which is unique in the whole of the EU for the amount of tax, and yet FURS does not assess it in 3 minutes!!! If you have a say and influence, we ask you to simplify the process of assessing and paying the DMV, because this situation causes deliberate obstruction and consequently great damage to us traders and to the budget of the country.
