Our company does a lot of business with foreign countries and we need a certificate of good conduct in English. In some countries, the person in charge of the company's registration often requires a certificate of good conduct in English translated by a sworn translator and notarised and certified by a notary public and a court of law. However, the Ministry of Justice will only provide a certificate in Slovenian. To get it in the required translation, you first have to get the certificate in Slovenian from the Ministry of Justice, then take it to the translator, which takes a few days, and pick it up again after a few days, take it to the court where they give you a date to pick up the certificate, and then, of course, you have to send it by express mail to one side of the world. Here, in addition to the huge loss of time, the huge loss of costs, there is also the question of how a Slovenian citizen living abroad does this. He cannot personally do this document and he cannot on-line with SIGENCO. My daughter lives in China and is always in trouble because they keep asking her for a certificate of no criminal record/translated notarised. Once to get a visa, secondly for a job, thirdly for business needs. The certificate of no criminal record is only valid for 6 months. Perhaps the solution is to access the records, translate and authenticate the Administrative Unit. Are the USA and China also signatories to the Hague Convention? Does this mean that they are not allowed to request a translation of this document?
