Many accidents on Slovenian roads are also caused by people who own vehicles registered in someone else's name. I therefore propose that when registering a motor vehicle, a bicycle with a motorcycle, a motorbike and a passenger car, it should be compulsory to require the presentation of a valid driving licence of the person whose vehicle is being registered. The law on vehicle registration should also be urgently amended to the effect that another person can no longer register a vehicle that he does not own, and the law on lending a car to another person should be amended alongside this. This would also help to avoid offenders driving on Slovenian roads without a driving licence, without a driving licence, or with vehicles registered in the name of another person.
