Today, we have an EMN on our documents, but it should not be used for identification because it contains our date of birth and gender. We also use a tax number for identification, but this is not written on the documents. When dealing with the Health Insurance Institution, we identify ourselves with a card that has a zzzs number. And I am ignoring the spiz number for identification. In short, we have at least 4 different identifiers that we need to keep in databases if we want to ensure uniqueness. Everybody around Slovenia has just 1 unique and compulsory ID, which is also printed on the identity and passport, we just do not arrange it in any way.
