I propose a tax on meat sales, because the average Slovenian eats meat 5-6 times a week, which is far too much. By making meat more expensive and reducing its intake, we would also be fighting cardiovascular diseases, which are, among other things, a major financial burden on the health service. It would also set a minimum price for meat, followed by more responsible and 'humane' treatment of animals. Reducing livestock farming would also have a positive impact on the environment.
