I propose to reduce the tax on property rental services. It is currently 25%, and this level is absolutely too high.

This tax is now the highest in the country. When renting in Ljubljana or in large cities where there is a high demand, this cost is more easily reversed or recouped by the owners. In Slovenia, where property is rented out in small, remote places, where rents are EUR 300.00 or less, and with the 25% tax, the owners have barely covered the depreciation. Sometimes not even that, because we have to invest in repairs, improvements that are absolutely necessary during our stay.

I ask that the level of tax on rent be reduced accordingly, or that it be regulated so that it is appropriately high, area by area. Ljubljana, where there is a lot of demand, should have its own level of tax. Small villages, where demand is low, should have a lower tax rate.
