I propose that in Slovenia there should be an additional tax on the import of used and the sale of new diesel vehicles that do not meet the EURO6 standard. The additional "environmental" tax would be progressive for those that meet the EURO5 standard, for example 20%, for the rest 30%. Reason: in Germany, more and more cities are banning the driving of diesel cars, at the same time as the state is preparing subsidies for owners of diesel vehicles to replace them, and the price of diesel fuel in relation to petrol is also changing. As a result, 15 million owners of diesel vehicles that do not meet the Euro 5 standard want to get rid of them. Their price is falling and many of them will move to Slovenia. Everyone's health will be at risk, at the expense of individuals who may be able to get a second-hand vehicle for a thousand dollars cheaper. In order to prevent Slovenia from becoming a dumping ground for dirty German cars (which is a threat to all eastern and southern European countries), it is essential that such or similar measures be taken as soon as possible.
