I live in the Ptuj area, where the number of vehicles (mainly high-end) with Slovak licence plates has increased significantly in the last couple of years, but which are driven by Slovenian citizens on a daily basis. I hope that the new government will set up a financial police force, as the Prime Minister has promised, and that it will investigate on what grounds such vehicles can be driven on a daily basis by Slovenian citizens on Slovenian territory, and whether this is not simply a case of avoiding the payment of the relevant duties.
