Dear Sir or Madam ! Yesterday's television report on the "eternal" problem of the distribution of the cake in the price of bread and other wheat products prompted me to make my own proposal to the Government to cut this Gordian knot. My proposal is that the government tax the millers' and traders' margins so that those margins that are greater than 30% will be taxed at 100%. Part or all of this tax can later be used to improve the purchase price of wheat. I think, however, that the market would quickly 'adjust' and there would be very little of this tax, and the price of bread would fall enormously for us consumers. Regards, John
