In the face of growing transit freight traffic, the Government is planning to accelerate the rehabilitation and widening of motorways, which will of course generate even more transit freight traffic. I remind the Government that it was elected by citizens who have a right to a healthy living environment, not by Eastern European logistics companies who have built a corridor through our country for dirty and noisy transport to the rich markets of Western Europe. There is absolutely no need for any further increase in transit freight traffic, as DARS is easily paying off its loans. I therefore propose to the government to abandon all plans to expand and increase the capacity of the AC and to start limiting transit freight traffic. The first measure can already be a substantial increase in the toll for lorries. Anyone who finds the toll too expensive should simply choose the route via Austria.
