I propose to reduce the road user levy to the previous amount that was in force until 2013. In the highest class, for engines with a capacity of more than 4000 cc, it increased from 194 to 565 euros in 2013. As the economic situation in the country is very good, there is no longer any need to tax drivers of old vehicles with large engine capacity. The budget has not gained much from this increase, so it will not lose much either. Otherwise, this levy is fundamentally unfair, because it equates vehicles that drive 1 000 km (pensioner, 2nd car) or 50 000 km a year. The fairest is the fuel tax, the more you drive - the more fuel you consume - the more tax you pay. The existing abnormally high levy also makes it impossible to sell old, large-engined vehicles at a realistic price.
