I'm seeing more and more drivers using their phones while driving, not only to make calls but also to text, Facebook, etc. The worst thing I saw was operating the steering wheel with my foot because my hands were busy playing a game.
I therefore propose that the fine for using a mobile phone while driving be drastically increased.
I propose a fine of €1000, without half-pay, and permanent confiscation of the mobile phone or a 1 month driving ban - it is up to the driver to decide. No possibility of appeal.
