Hello I am proposing a change in the legislation for the driving of goods vehicles in the territory of the RS. The proposal concerns in particular a complete ban on overtaking of goods vehicles (over 7.5 t) on the highways of the RS. This would solve quite a few problems that we are witnessing at the moment. It would increase the flow and safety on the motorways, as drivers of passenger cars would be able to drive in accordance with the AC restrictions and would not need to pay increased attention to drivers of goods vehicles and, consequently, to their dangerous and time-consuming overtaking manoeuvres. Safety would be improved by preventing heavy lorries from changing lanes and being forced to use the rightmost lane, which is reserved for slower vehicles. As a consequence, CO2 emissions from trucks would be reduced, as all trucks would drive at a steady speed with the aid of cruise control.
