I propose that the state abolish social assistance for all healthy people. Anyone who does not have the means to support themselves should register with the unemployment office as unemployed. There he would be immediately referred for a medical examination to determine whether or not he is fit for work. Sick and disabled people could continue to receive social assistance at a higher rate than at present. For all those who are healthy, the state would provide a decent job, at the minimum wage, of which we have more than enough in this country. Let's say cleaning all public places, helping in nursing homes, shovelling snow, salting pavements and sweeping rubbish, repairing potholes in the roads, and sending suitable candidates to work, say, in Revoz and other companies that need workers.... In the main, there is enough work for everyone in good health, and the state should provide work for everyone instead of such high welfare benefits that many people do not find it worthwhile to work at all. Not only money, they are also entitled to free basic and supplementary insurance, free TV, free kindergartens, free school lunches, the Red Cross and Karitas pay their bills, provide food, clothing, furniture,.... Two young people who can't work (in fact, it's not even worth working) and have two children get over 1,500 euros a month in aid. The system we have now is leading the country to ruin, because it will turn healthy people into real invalids, and the economy will soon become completely uncompetitive because of the lack of workers.
