I propose that the concept of permanent employment be abolished in the Labour Relations Act, because it offers false social security and allows for the brutal exploitation of employees. Instead of an open-ended relationship, the law should introduce fixed-term work, namely: short-term employment (from one hour to 35 hours) one-month employment (from 35 hours to 180 hours) half-year employment (more than one month and less than half a year and one day)) employment for one year (more than half a year and less than one year and one day) The law should set the minimum wage at a range of 1:3 in favour of shorter relationships. Thus, the minimum hourly wage for the shortest relationship would be three times the minimum hourly wage for a one-year relationship. I call for a debate on the effects of such an arrangement (especially in the light of the UBI).
