In Slovenia, there are quite a few roads with cycle lanes, and there are also quite a few cycle lanes separated from the roads (such as those that run parallel to the road, but a few tens of metres away, e.g. Jesenice<->Kranjska gora). As cycle lanes were built for the safety and comfort of cyclists, and to make traffic flow more smoothly on the roads, I propose to ban cyclists from riding on the road where there is a cycle lane. There are quite a few cyclists who, for the sake of their ego, prefer to endanger their own and other people's lives and obstruct traffic on sections where it would be safer to ride on a cycle lane (for example, the aforementioned route from Jesenice to Kranjska Gora). Of course, there would be exceptions for access to houses along the road.
