It is well known that escorted vehicles have absolute priority. (Politicians, business leaders and the like.) Although this rule is a travesty, I won't go into it here. What bothers me, and what is not only embarrassing but, above all, irresponsible towards society, is that these vehicles also have priority over intervention vehicles. (There are a few more vehicles on the extended list; the gas company's intervention vehicle is very important.) The media like to stress that seconds count in accidents as well as in the aftermath of illness, old age, etc. Yet "suddenly" these seconds do not matter when the elite are on the road. This should be abolished. Better still - reverse the picture. Intervention vehicles should have absolute priority. Regards.
