I propose to the Government that the money we pay every year when we register our motor vehicles should be used for road repairs. In many places, the roads are completely ruined, often, in addition to the age-related deterioration, also because of through freight traffic, as drivers try to save money in this way - e.g. the Postojna-Koper&Sežana section, where lorries leave the road in Postojna or Senožeče and continue their journey on the old road, which is therefore worse than a cart track in some places. Those few shovels of asphalt do not do the trick. Or, for example, the road through the Vrem valley. The inhabitants of these and similar places all over Slovenia, forgotten by all, pay for the roads, but at the same time they are forced to destroy their cars on potholed roads. Not to mention the dilapidated bridges all over Slovenia, which were reported in the media a few months ago. And the list goes on.
