Hello. I am proposing an amendment to the law on the weights of goods vehicles. 1. 5-axle (truck with 5 axles) trucks have appeared on the market. Our current law is outdated as it does not allow for progress, i.e. raising the total mass of this type of vehicle to at least 40 tonnes. Under the current law, 4 or more axle trucks are subject to a maximum permissible gross vehicle weight of 32 tonnes. This is discriminatory towards the users of these vehicles (5 axle lorries), as they can only carry a load of 6.4 tonnes per axle, despite 5 axles. So 32 tonnes in total. Whereas under the current regulation, the load on the five axles of a semi-trailer is 40 or 44 tonnes. 2. I propose a change in the legislation on the masses of goods vehicles registered as special work vehicles and the purpose of the vehicle makes it almost impossible to build such a vehicle to comply with the regulations. This group includes fire-fighting vehicles with equipment, municipal vehicles (garbage collectors), concrete mixers with pump, sewer cleaners, military special vehicles,.... these vehicles are in fact constantly too heavy, but we need them to live a normal life. The increase in the permissible total mass for this group of vehicles should be the maximum total mass prescribed by the manufacturer.
