I propose to criminalise and punish with imprisonment road traffic offences and extreme speeding. A limit should be set on the level of alcohol, as it is now at 0.5 per mille, and anything above this limit is considered to be causing general danger, which is already punishable by imprisonment. The same would apply to extreme speeding, say over 30 km/h in a residential area and 50 km/h outside a residential area. All of these would be considered to be causing general danger and would be punishable by imprisonment and a lengthy suspension of the driving licence. This is not about those who drink 1 beer or drive 10 km/h too fast, but actually about those who are also statistically the most dangerous!
