I call on the government once again not to introduce a tax on long-term care! A proposal on this subject was put forward last year and received overwhelming support (23 votes for, none against), but the Government vehemently rejected it as unjustified (http://predlagam.vladi.si/webroot/idea/view/5096). I would like to reiterate that the introduction of such a tax is unconstitutional, as it would also burden those of us who are caring for our parents or grandparents ourselves, and of course incur costs as a result. Apparently, the pressure from the lobby (i.e. investors in stranded intergenerational centres) is great, so much so that the advocate of this tax (Anja Kopač Mrak) has remained in her ministerial post! I remind the government once again that she was elected to work for the citizens and not for the lobbies!
