Recording Members' attendance at work In view of the poor attendance of Members at work and the poor performance of the National Assembly, I propose that: all Members and other officials be subject to a check on arrival, all departures from the workplace during working hours and departures from work. This means introducing the same controls as for most workers in companies, banks and elsewhere. Now, Members are free to come to work, and sometimes there are only a few Members sitting in the National Assembly. I would also suggest that the work in the various committees, working groups, should be limited to work and not to mutual reckoning, backbiting, and that the chairmen of these committees should see to that, and that the work should also be limited to a certain period of time.
