I suggest introducing an option whereby the employer and the employee could agree that the employee only works e.g. 80% of full time (e.g. only 4 out of 5 days of the week). Of course, if both the employer and the employee agree. I conclude that a significant number of workers from young families, maybe older workers, etc. would opt for this type of employment. On average, this would result in 1 new job for every 5 employees who opt for the measure. This would activate part of the unemployed population, boost their self-confidence and enable them to learn new skills, etc. The wage of a worker with this type of job would be reduced to 80%, so while this would not be acceptable for everyone (because the wages are quite low), it would at least give young people some access to employment.
