Hello, With the introduction of the new property tax, new builders (including buyers of new buildings) are in a situation of double taxation. We have already paid the tax by paying the municipal contribution (in most cases more than EUR 10,000.00) or by paying the purchase price for the flat, and we have also had to pay tax on all building, installation and other works. Most of us have a credit for nn years with which we will repay the above taxes. So, under the previous legislation, new builders and buyers of new buildings (flats and houses) were exempted from paying the municipal contribution for 10 years (read: it will be replaced by the property tax), precisely to avoid double taxation. As I am following things at the moment, and given that we have received an informative property tax calculation for a new (two year old) property, we will have to pay property tax again this year (and we have not yet paid off all the building levies). I propose that the property tax exemption for new buildings should remain for a period of 10 years, as otherwise there is double taxation, which is unconstitutional. Regards.
