The current system of student work definitely needs to be overhauled. The current legislation and the way in which student work is regulated are totally inadequate. - Employees are subject to an overtime limit of no more than 20 hours per week. It is difficult for a student who really goes to school regularly for 6 hours a day to do many more hours of student work and then study. Currently, there are no limits on the number of hours of work per student. - In some commercial companies, 10 students and 2 sales assistants work. Absolutely inadequate. If you go to do an analysis in, say, a city centre in a major city: you will see 70% are students and only about 30% are full-time employees. Not the real students, but the fictitious students who are only enrolled but not studying. - Many students are not students at all, they are just transferring from school to school to get student status and referrals. - some students do go to school and really work to survive. STUDENT WORK NEEDS TO BE PLACED IN A PENSION FRAMEWORK WITH PENSION AND HEALTH CONTRIBUTIONS.
